4.1 Eligibility for Election/ Re-election
a. Every member of the STP Central Committee and special purpose committees and the members of all district executive committee(s) shall be eligible to contest elections for any slot of central level office bearers.
b. Every member of the STP shall be eligible to contest elections/ or be nominated to the STP General Council, STP District Council, STP Taluka Council, STP District and Taluka Executive Committee (s)/ Office Bearers and Unit Coordinators/ UC Secretaries. Only the STP Sindh Council shall have the nominees from outside the party membership.
c. For contesting any office of the Central Body, the pre-qualification would be that the candidate must have remained a Member of STP - Central Committee for at least one full term of 2 years.
d. For contesting as Member of STP – Central Committee, the candidate must have remained District President, Vice President and General Secretary for at least one full tenure of 2 years.
e. All elections shall be held on the basis of secret ballot and majority vote as enshrined in the democratic values.
f. No Central Body Member shall be eligible to be elected consecutively on the same position for more than two tenures.
g. Any STP office bearer/ member found promoting the interest/ working in the Election Campaign for any other political group/ party, shall cease to hold office and/or remain a member of the STP.
