During the temporary absence and illness and/or under due authorization by the Chairman, the Senior Vice Chairman/ Vice Chairperson shall perform the functions and exercise the powers of Chairman as delegated to him/her.  The Senior Vice Chairman shall also perform as Acting Chairman for a maximum period of 60 days, in case the office of Chairman falls vacant; and, the new Chairman/ Chairperson is elected by the General Council/ Party Congress.

The Vice Chairman shall head the intellectual / Policy affairs and be responsible for the issue of Party Organ (Inqilabi Watt).
