Special Purpose Committees (SPCs)

a.            The Central Committee, headed by the Party Chairperson, shall appoint as many special purpose committees as may be necessary, from amongst central committee members and/or senior party members as well as district level office bearers to perform specific tasks as may be assigned to the committee (s) from time to time.

b.            Each special purpose committee shall be headed by a Secretary to be appointed by the Central Committee and/or the Party Chairperson.  The tenure of each special committee shall be deemed to be 2 years, unless otherwise notified by the Central Committee and/or the Party Chairperson.

c.            The name of each SPC shall explicitly designate its purpose and usual functions.  The Secretary of each committee, who may or may not be a member of the Central Committee, shall remain in constant touch with Party Chairperson and General Secretary to perform the designated as well as any other relevant emerging tasks assigned in the best interest of the party.

d.            The following Special Purpose Committees (SPCs), shall form a permanent feature of the STP central organization:

  1. Training & Capacity Building Committee (TCBC)

  1. Event Management Committee (EMC)

  1. Research and Records Committee (RRC)

  1. Language & Cultural Promotion Committee  (LCPC)

  1. Media and Publications Committee (MPC)

  1. Struggles & Campaigns Committee (SCC)

  1. Party Elections Committee (PEC)

  1. Linkages and Networking Committee (LNC)
