Functions and Powers of Central Office Bearers
- The Chairman/ Chairperson
The Chairman shall head the entire party organization and shall exercise all the powers inherent to this office; and shall see that the office bearers and various committees, district level organizations and party wings, forums & fronts work in consonance with the STP Constitution as well as any rules made and bye-laws adopted by the General Council and the Central Committee. He/ she shall have the powers to take all appropriate decisions under emergency situations, which would have to be ratified by the Central Committee in due course of time. The Chairman shall be eligible for re-election for 5 tenures of 2 years each consecutively.
